Supporting Those In Need

One of the goals of the Dakotas Conference Camping Ministry is to provide everyone, regardless of their financial need, the opportunity to attend camp, those special “places apart where all people can experience God’s grace and love and grow in discipleship".  Most local United Methodist Churches in the Dakotas Conference provide local scholarships to help campers attend camp.   Thankfully, the Dakotas Conference also has scholarship dollars that are provided by individuals and churches that understand how important and life changing the camping experience can be. Your first inquiry should be with your church to learn how much assistance the local church can provide.  If your family’s budget is still stretched tight, please complete the Scholarship application and return it to the Camping Office either via US mail, fax or email.  You will be notified via US mail if you have been awarded additional dollars through the Conference scholarship fund.  

Gifts of any amount for Conference Scholarships are always welcome as the number of families requesting assistance has nearly doubled in recent years.  Click here to make a donation to the Conference Scholarship Fund.
